Megastar Madonna is not only the queen of pop, she's also adding the title, queen of fitness. The 55-year-old opened her first German "Hard Candy Fitness" location in Berlin, clad in an all-leather outfit showing off her toned body. The singer who is known to work out for two hours every day, says the hard work is all for a reason. SOUNDBITE: Madonna, saying (English) "There is an emotional well-being that happens when you make the effort. Working out releases endorphins and makes you feel better about yourself. And I love to dance. So however tired I am, after I work out I feel better." A handful of lucky gym members got a taste of her "Addicted to Sweat" routine that she developed with her personal trainer Nicole Winhoffer. SOUNDBITE: Madonna, saying (English) "I was a dancer since I was a very young child. And when I stopped dancing I had to do something with myself. I had to sweat, I had to feel like I was viscerally engaged somehow. So I went through a long circuitous route of trying everything from running, long distance running to pilates, yoga, whatever. And now I've developed a way of training that encompasses all the things that I love. I really need to do it at least five days a week or I get depressed." "Hard Candy Fitness" has several international locations and plans to also get Toronto and Rome addicted to her steamy routine.
