At least one person has died and dozens are injured in an explosion that tore through this sweet factory in northern Mexico. Officials say the boiler exploded in the Dulces Blueberry factory at an industrial park in Ciudad Juarez near the U.S. border. But some workers said the blast was caused by a gas leak. (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) UNIDENTIFIED FACTORY WORKER, SAYING: "It was an explosion. (Reporter: What did you do in this factory?) We wait for the honey for the glucose. (Reporter: And what do you think happened?) I imagine a gas leak because the explosion was very strong. (Reporter: What do you remember? Did you see people injured?) Yes, many people bleeding, burnt. (Reporter: What happened to you?) It just hurt my heel." About three hundred people were in the factory when the ceiling collapsed. Six of the injured are in a serious condition but several people are still missing. Fire services and about 30 ambulances arrived at the scene to treat them, many were badly burned. (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) CIUDAD JUAREZ CIVIL PROTECTION DIRECTOR, FERNANDO MOTTA, SAYING: "We have all security teams present in the location. We are working, trying to attend to, in all it's magnitude, the tragedy that just happened. We hope that the outcome is not so serious and that it is not a greater tragedy." But for these local residents gathered outside the factory, their grief is evident, as they anxiously wait for news of their friends and relatives.
