Reality TV star Susan Boyle is to release a 'duet' with Elvis Presley as a Christmas single to raise money for charity. Edward Baran reports.

Reality TV star Susan Boyle is to release a charity Christmas single featuring the voice of Elvis Presley. The digital duet will see Boyle dreaming the seemingly impossible dream of duetting with the King of rock n'roll on a version of 'O Come, All Ye Faithful'. SOUNDBITE, Susan Boyle, saying (English): "I worked with an original recording and also Sony Records had a liaison with Priscilla Presley herself to get permission." Boyle also revealed she had been appointed as an ambassador for the charity Save the Children, and the royalties from her single will go to support its work. In this role, she spent time with children at a Save the Children program which is run at a primary school in Glasgow. SOUNDBITE, Susan Boyle, saying (English): "I think they responded really well. I get on great with kids, I am big kid at heart really, you know. I get on great with them." And what of Boyle herself? How does she feel to be the centre of attention once again? SOUNDBITE, Susan Boyle, saying (English): "Oh I'm nervous, I'm nervous I'm sure (laughs)." The official charity single will be released world-wide on December 8.
