Nov. 2 - Attack ads fill the airwaves as Election Day nears for key races in Virginia, New Jersey and Detroit. Jillian Kitchener reports.

With days to go before the November 5th election, candidates are filling the airwaves with attack ads. In Virginia the stakes are particularly high. Once a Republican stronghold, Virginia has shifted to the left making it more of a swing state --- and a critical state in the next presidential race. In a new ad, Cuccinnelli accuses McAuliffe, a long time friend of the Clinton's, of robbing from the grave. KEN CUCCINELLI FOR GOVERNOR CAMPAIGN ADVERTISEMENT McAuliffe's ad accuses Cuccinelli of wanting to restrict a woman's ability to get a divorce. TERRY MCAULIFFE FOR GOVERNOR CAMPAIGN ADVERTISEMENT In New Jersey, Barbara Buono has tried to paint incumbent Chris Christie as an opportunist with presidential ambitions. BARBARA BUONO FOR GOVERNOR CAMPAIGN ADVERTISEMENT Chris Christie fought back in an ad which accuses Buono of raising taxes. CHRIS CHRISTIE FOR GOVERNOR CAMPAIGN ADVERTISEMENT In Detroit, mayoral candidates vow to fix the struggling city. Michael Duggen's ads have featured his stint as CEO of the Detroit Medical Center, while Benny Napoleon uses the hospital to paint Duggen in a negative light.
