Nov. 2 - Estimated to be worth more than $60 million, ''The Pink Star'' will be auctioned by Sotheby's on November 13. Jillian Kitchener reports.

"The Pink Star" is the most valuable diamond ever to be auctioned. This 59.6 carat diamond is estimated to be worth more than $60 million, and is now on display at Sotheby's in New York. SOUNDBITE: CHAIRMAN OF SOTHEBY'S INTERNATIONAL JEWELLRY DIVISION FOR EUROPE & THE MIDDLE EAST, DAVID BENNETT SAYING: "It's also the largest fancy vivid pink diamond known. It's internally flawless and also Type IIa; this very rare sub-group of optically and chemically the purest of all diamonds." According to Sotheby's, "The Pink Star" was cut and polished from a 132.5 carat rough diamond mined somewhere in Africa in 1999. It will be up for auction on November 13th in Geneva.
