A show of force in Benghazi.
Libya's Thunderbolt Brigade is out on the streets in a bid to put an end to instability that has left the city plagued with assassinations and small-scale bomb attacks.
Crowds welcome the Brigade.
Authorities have struggled to impose order in Libya. Militias often take the law into their hands and have seized oil facilities to pressure the government for more autonomy.
In Tripoli on Thursday at least one person was killed when fighting broke out between two militias at the Radisson Blu hotel.
At least a dozen people were wounded in the worst fighting in the capital in months.
A security source told Reuters that a heavily-armed group from Misrata had entered the capital in the evening to take revenge for the killing of one of its fighters in a smaller shootout in Tripoli on Tuesday.
