Police arrested a man who brought a gun into the baggage claim area of Los Angeles International Airport's Terminal 3 Friday. There was momentary panic when police say the man showed off his weapon in the terminal. It was unloaded. This was the same terminal where Transportation Security Administration officer Gerardo Hernandez was shot and killed one week ago. Airports across the country paused for a moment of silence Friday to honor the slain TSA agent. Passenger Cathleen Scarvers had kind words for the officer. SOUNDBITE: (English) PASSENGER CATHLEEN SCARVERS SAYING: "Because of him, I'm able to travel safely and my heart goes out to the family." The FBI says 23-year-old Paul Ciancia shot Hernandez. Two other officers and a passenger were also wounded. Police shot Ciancia near the gate. He's in the hospital but could face the death penalty if convicted of murdering Hernandez. A public memorial service will be held to honor Hernandez in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
