This brush fire is just 30 miles outside of New York City. Firefighters are working to contain the blaze along the ridgeline in Rockland Country.
The flames, which started on Thursday, are closing in on several neighborhoods.
SOUNDBITE: Unidentified man saying:
"The houses up there, the houses down here we're lucky we got hydrants but everything up there, there' no hydrants so it's all gonna be shuttles, tanker trucks coming in and dropping off water. Up here now the concern is that it's gonna jump the road and get into the neighborhood."
So far, no injuries have been reported.
