2.6 million is today's daily digit - the number of cars Volkswagen is recalling worldwide over technical problems. A third of them are in China where VW produces cars for the local market. The Tiguan SUV - one of VW's best sellers - is among one of five models affected. 800,000 of those manufactured between 2008 - 2011 are being recalled over possible faulty lights. A further 1.6 million cars and vans are also being recalled over problems ranging from leaky fuel pipes to possible gearbox issues. It couldn't of come at a worse time for the German carmaker as it aims to double manufacturing in China to over 4 million cars a year by 2018. Analysts say although the problems seem fairly minor, any question marks over the reliability of its models is bad news for customers. It's the group's biggest recall but is dwarfed by Toyota's record. Almost 19 million vehicles were recalled in 2009 and 2011 over acceleration problems.
