Two turkeys from Minnesota are heading to the White House.
The famous 'tom' gobblers are making news as they make their way to 1600 Penn.
But they likely won't make their debut atop the Thanksgiving dinner table, but instead receive a traditional Presidential pardon.
Turkey supplier John Burkel is pleased his prized poultry will then enjoy a life of leisure.
SOUNDBITE: Turkey Supplier John Burkel saying:
"They'll go to Mount Vernon, George Washington's home and they stay at Mount Vernon through the holidays, typically through New Years is the plan. And then, they to a farm called, (inaudible) Park in Virginia."
Berkel is pampering his hand-selected birds, keeping them in a heated garden shed, as they prepare for the photo-op with the president.
