Lots of hot air at Mexican balloon festival

Nov. 18 - The 2013 Leon International Festival takes off.

Pilots fired up their balloons ready to fly them high at the 12th annual Leon International Balloon Festival. Dozens of hot air balloons filled the Guanajuato skyline an array of colors and shapes. Over the past decade, the festival has brought together almost two million people. Balloonists came from all over for the event. Logan Belford is from Tennessee in the United States. SOUNDBITE: Logan Belford, hot air balloon pilot from Tennessee saying (English): "Oh it's wonderful, that's what makes us come back again, is seeing all the people who love the balloons and being able to put on a show for all the people. We love the Mexican people to come out, the Spanish people." Marcela is a visitor from Celaya in Mexico. SOUNDBITE: Celaya, hot air balloon festival visitor from Celaya saying (Spanish): "The truth is I came with some friends because we always heard the balloon fair is a very nice experience and it's wonderful seeing them take off - and more now before dawn." The first hot air ballooning flight in Mexico took off from Guanajuato and ended in Rio Verde in 1842.
