He smoked crack, drove a vehicle after drinking alcohol, and is the butt of late night jokes across North America- so they gave him his own TV show. Disgraced Toronto mayor Rob Ford, along with his brother Doug, debuted Ford Nation on Canada's conservative Sun News Network Monday night. Besides discussing his admission of drug use ... (SOUNDBITE) (English) TORONTO MAYOR ROB FORD SAYING: "Everybody has skeletons in their closet. Mines have been exposed." He used the show to fire back at critics. (SOUNDBITE) (English) TORONTO MAYOR ROB FORD SAYING: "I've made mistakes but I don't think that anyone else is any different. It's hypocrisy at its best and I'm not proud of what I've done. It's very humiliating but being fiscally responsible down at city hall and, let's call a spade a spade here, the majority of councillors down there are left-wing tax and spend socialists, that's what they are." Earlier in the day, the Toronto City Council voted to strip him of some of his powers- although leagally, they can't remove him from office. During the meeting, Ford attempted to address members of the public who were taunting him, and nearly took down a councilmember in the process. Ford has vowed to run for re-election next year and said one day, he hopes to run for prime minister.
