Dozens of on-lookers stopped to watch Jolie and the cast and crew in the center of the city.
"Awesome, awesome. I just walked down the street and I saw this and I thought, what's going on here, what's that? Is that a film star?" said a star-struck onlooker.
Jolie is directing the film which tells the story of Olympic runner Louis Zamperini, whose plane crashes in the Pacific during World War Two. He spends 47 days on a raft, then is captured and taken as a prisoner of war by the Japanese.
