Nov. 25 - Embattled former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi asks senators to push back a vote to decide on whether to expel him from the senate. Nathan Frandino reports.

In a room packed with press, embattled former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is trying to get his message out. The message? Postpone the vote on expelling him from the senate. (SOUNDBITE) (Italian) FORMER ITALIAN PRIME MINISTER, SILVIO BERLUSCONI, SAYING: "Please reflect in depth before taking this grave decision. On your own consciences do not be taken up by the moment, by the truth, by the justice, by the politics of the moment. The Italian Senate will vote on Wednesday on whether or not to expel the billionaire from parliament. This comes after he was found guilty of tax fraud in August. He says he has new evidence that will exonerate him. (SOUNDBITE) (Italian) FORMER ITALIAN PRIME MINISTER, SILVIO BERLUSCONI, SAYING: "I want to finish this attack and be recognized for what I am: an exemplary citizen who has always paid his taxes and is one of the highest taxpayers in the country, and who believes in his life has always made a positive contribution to his fellow citizens and to his country." The vote is expected to go against Berlusconi.
