A Coast Guard helicopter is dispatched to medevac an injured man from this container ship 115 miles from Kodiak Alaska.
Pilot John Flipowicz says removing the man was a several step operation.
SOUNDBITE: PILOT JOHN FLIPOWICZ SAYING:
"The hoist itself happened at a location where the helicopter itself was not that far above containers, but the hoist itself was relatively deep. There were four containers and the hoist location was below those four containers. So it was a bit unusual."
The 56-year-old crew member, was taken to Kodiak, after falling and suffering an eye and head injury. From there, he was transported to Anchorage for more extensive treatment.
