Inside this incubator, behind the glass, is an effort to save critically endangered turtles. Watch as a Chinese big-headed turtle comes out of its egg. It's one of five that hatched at the Wildlife Conservation Society's Prospect Park Zoo in Brooklyn, New York last month. The big-headed turtle gets its name because the skull gets so big it can't be pulled into its shell for protection. This is the first time the rare species has been successfully reproduced at a U.S. zoo all in an effort to save it from extinction.
