--STORY CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES-- After the attack in Aleppo. Amateur video which can not be independently verified by Reuters shows smoke filled the streets where dead bodies become part of the landscape. At least 42 people, including children, were killed after Syrian army helicopters dropped improvised "barrel bombs," in parts of Aleppo according to The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Barrel bombs are explosive-filled cylinders or oil drums that are often rolled out of the back of helicopters with little attempt at striking a particular target. They are capable of causing widespread casualties and significant damage. Residents are left to scramble searching for signs of life in the rubble. This man is one of the lucky ones -- he survives. More footage shows children treated at a field hospital. After close to three years of conflict some have only known war. In an empty classroom a school a boy holds what he calls a piece of shrapnel. Another child says that the attack came during class. He says after everyone was evacuated there was another attack. More than 100,000 people have been killed in the conflict, in a war where no one seems to have the upper hand.
