A moment of joy and music as Christmas is celebrated in Central African Republic. In this war-torn country displaced children make do with what they have. (SOUNDBITE) (French) THOMAS FEISSORE, DEACON, SAYING: "We are currently experiencing a very, very difficult time at the end of the year 2013, because our country is going through a very difficult time. But that hasn't stopped Christians here from celebrating Christmas." The country has been in crisis since Seleka rebels seized power in March, leaving little behind. (SOUNDBITE) (French) CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC RESIDENT, MARABOU DORCAS, SAYING: "I think because of what Seleka has done here in we can't even celebrate Christmas with our children." Another woman despairs for children now living in a place where a blanket is a substitute for a home. (SOUNDBITE) (French) CAR RESIDENT, MARIAM KOBANGUE, SAYING: "Christmas is a children's celebration. Now look at how the children are - not even a balloon to make them happy. We are not seeing it." With few presents to mark the day -- children celebrate the Spirit of Christmas.
