Istanbul woke up to a new government Thursday a day after Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan reshuffled his cabinet.
Erdogan announced he would appoint 10 new ministers to replace three who quit over a corruption scandal- one of whom said Erdogan himself should step down.
Residents seemed to agree.
People have had enough, this person said. Erdogan should resign and give the people relief.
The crisis erupted earlier this month after a long-running investigation into graft allegations led to dozens of arrests and the sacking of several police investigators.
The turmoil within the government ranks prompted protests Wednesday night with demonstrators calling for Erdogan's resignation.
Although he is credited with overseeing the country's rapid economic expansion- Erdogan's critics say his authoritarian style of rule will not do much to get his party re-elected in 2015.
