Bostonians are bracing for for dangerously cold temperatures.
A blast of cold weather has gripped the northeastern United States following a snowstorm.
It forced thousands of flights to cancel and schools to close and caused at least three deaths thus far.
Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick told residents to stay home and avoid icy roadways.
The overnight low for Boston was forcasted at -4 F, or -20 C.
The bitter cold was expected to last until Saturday.
