Phil Everly, one part of the country and rock duo the Everly Brothers, has died in Los Angeles.
Everly suffered from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and passed away in Burbank on Friday.
Phil and his brother Don were profoundly influential in the 1960's and 50's with songs like "Wake Up Little Susie" and "Bye Bye Love".
Rolling Stone magazine listed the pair at number 33 on it's list of 100 Greatest Artists.
Phil Everly was 74 years old.
