Many parts of the Midwest are bracing for a blast of Arctic cold. Temperatures in some areas could drop 30 below beginning Sunday. So residents in Minnesota and elsewhere were stepping out on Saturday -- before bunkering down in their homes for a few days. SOUNDBITE: UNIDENTIFIED MINNESOTA SKIER SAYING: "It's nice to get out this morning before it turns cold." SOUNDBITE: UNIDENTIFIED MINNESOTA DOG OWNER SAYING: "We're getting them out for a long walk today. They're gonna be in for a day or two and they're not gonna know why." Forecasters expect some of the coldest weather to grip the region in two decades. North Dakota could drop fifty below with wind chill. The deep freeze will move, over the next few days, to the Northeast. That's where residents in Boston are still digging out from a deadly snowstorm. SOUNDBITE: BOSTON RESIDENT ROSEMARY COSGROVE SAYING: "Too much snow, couldn't get the door open." Officials are warning people to stay indoors if they can.
