An Arctic blast is gripping much of the country Tuesday - and affecting millions of Americans. Wind chill advisories and warnings are in effect in 32 states and Washington DC is seeing its coldest morning in 18 years. New Yorkers are waking up to single digit temperatures. And it's so cold in Embarrass, Minnesota, frost is actually forming on people's faces. (SOUNDBITE) ALVIN HANSON, MINNESOTA RESIDENT SAYING: "It's just a natural way of life for ya, so you just live with it and you just put on another bundle of clothes and come on out." The deep freeze is caused by a so-called polar vortex that's even visible from space and is bringing in arctic weather from the North Pole. The good news - this cold blast is also a quick one and temperatures will gradually rise around the country as the week goes on.
