Imagine a world in which your wildest dreams come true - where boredom and monotony no longer exist. Welcome to the world of 'Quidam', a creation by the world famous Cirque du Soleil which opened in London. British celebrities including fashion designer Paul Smith and pregnant socialite Tamara Ecclestone came to watch the spectacle. Celebrating their 30th anniversary, the show features an international cast of 45 world-class acrobats from 19 countries replete with mesmerizing performances of skill, strength and dexterity. Originally founded in Quebec, Canada after local success as street performers and stilt-walkers, it officially became Cirque du Soleil, meaning Circus of the Sun in 1984. The name itself comes from a performance that year to celebrate the 450th anniversary of Jacques Cartier, the discoverer who claimed Canadian land for France. Since then, the production has toured on five continents and played to over 10 million patrons worldwide. During the run of Quidam at the Royal Albert Hall, Cirque du Soleil will welcome its 3 millionth London patron.
