Recreational marijuana has legally been available for sale in Colorado for barely a week - and some stores say they are struggling to keep up with demand. Some have had to close their doors early in the day, when supply runs out. (SOUNDBITE) TRACY SPENCER, POTENTIAL CUSTOMER SAYING: "There's a lot of people here in Colorado who bombarded any dispensary that went to retail sales." High demand is creating long lines - made up of many out of state visitors - like Raymond Cappabianco who drove here from Florida. (SOUNDBITE) RAYMOND CAPPABIANCO, FLORIDA RESIDENT SAYING: "First legal marijuana I've bought in my life." To keep up with the crowds, some of the 40 stores currently licensed to sell in the state are limiting sales to an eighth of an ounce instead of selling the full ounce that's now legal. (SOUNDBITE) TIM CULLEN, SHOP OWNER SAYING: "We are managing the line, so if we were able to offer everyone an ounce, we would be looking at 5 to 10 minutes per transaction. We are trying to move huge volumes through here. So by limiting choice, we are moving the lines much quicker." Demand is so great, the price tag of an ounce of pot has doubled to $400.
