Washington, D.C.'s newest star makes her debut.
Giant panda cub, Bao Bao, was shown off to special guests at Washington D.C.'s National Zoo.
Bao Bao, whose name translates to "precious" or "treasure," was born on August 23 in front of the zoo's live panda cam.
Giant pandas are among the world's most endangered species, in part because it is difficult for them to breed in the wild, let alone in captivity.
Bao Bao will make her debut to the general public on January 18.
But if you want to see her you'd better hurry.
When she turns four, she will be moved to China.
