Enormous flames tore through an old mill building in Lawrence, Massachusetts, ravaging the structure. It caused the roof to collapse and quickly spread to a five alarm blaze that kept firefighters very busy.
It happened at the Merrimac Paper Co. building, which is now abandoned.
No injuries were reported by late afternoon and officials say there was no risk to other businesses in the area. But the huge fire brought in crews from around the region and snarled traffic due to heavy smoke.
