A chaotic day in Nigeria.
A car bomb killed at least 29 people here in the northeastern city of Maiduguri. Locals carrying machetes attempted to patrol the streets in the aftermath, but were later dispersed by soldiers who fired shots in the air.
The bomb was planted in a three-wheeled rickshaw taxi that detonated outside state Television offices.
This is the latest wave of violence to hit an area that is viewed as the epicenter of Islamist insurgency. But no single group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
