ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION California police have arrested three men in their early 20's on charges of recklessly starting a fire in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendora that damaged at least two homes and led to the evacuation of nearby residents. The group had started a campfire before a breeze kicked up and sparked the wildfire, said Captain of Glendora Police, Tim Staab. "All three of those people are currently in the Glendora City Jail," said Staab. "All three have been booked for recklessly starting a fire. Their bail is set at $20,000." The so-called Colby Fire broke out before dawn in the Angeles National Forest north of Glendora, about 40 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, and by mid-morning had blackened more than 1,700 acres, U.S. Forest Service spokesman Nathan Judy said.
