Pope Francis -- sticking to his gospel -- takes a moment to visit the homeless and migrants in Rome. POPE FRANCIS SPEAKING TO HOMELESS PEOPLE / (SOUNDBITE) (Italian) POPE FRANCIS SAYING: "You need to hold onto your hope, hope never deludes us. Thank you very much for the help you give each other and this friendship of helping each other and moving forward in life. Moving forward with your hand holding a friend's hand is completely different from trying to move forward by yourselves." Sunday marks the 100th annual World Day for Migrants and Refugees. He delivered the remarks at a parish not far from the Termini train station. It works with the homeless and migrants by providing various services, like hospitality for more than 400 refugees. Pope Francis has shown compassion for immigrants. In July 2013 he visited the island of Lampedusa, whose deadly waters have claimed the lives of hundreds of migrants.
