The snow has stopped falling and they're digging out.
Washington D.C. got several inches of the white stuff from a major winter storm that pounded the Northeast.
"It's too cold, it's way too cold. I hate winter I really do... The thing about having a dog is it makes you have to go out, I mean most of the people I know are just staying home."
But dogs aren't the only ones having fun in the snow.
Some are taking advantage of mother nature's winter blast.
The fresh powder ideal for these snowboarders making the most of a January snow day.
"It's very cold obviously but I love the snow, it's beautiful, if it's gonna be cold, 20, 30 degrees, we might as well have snow, that's always been my saying."
