ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Firefighters are battling a massive a four-alarm fire at a string of apartments in Northeast Dallas on Wednesday (January 22). The fire started on the 9000 block of Timberleaf Drive at approximately 6 p.m local time. According to local media, most of the apartments have been vacant for years. One apartment at the end was occupied by a woman and her dog, who were taken out in time. A Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman said firefighters had to pull back because the fire was growing. Neighbors across the street from the apartments are hosing down their lawns and roofs to put out flying embers blowing because of high gusts of wind. Some were leaving the area. There are no known injuries at this time. And the cause of the fire is unknown yet.
