Katy Perry has become the first person to reach 50 million followers on Twitter. The pop star overtook Justin Bieber on Friday (January 31) - who trails by about 800,000 followers. Perry's following has increased extensively over the past few months thanks in part to the success of her latest album, "Prism."
Helen Mirren was honored as woman of the year by Harvard's Hasty Pudding Theatricals on Thursday (January 30). The Oscar-winning actress received thunderous applause when she was challenged to twerk on stage and proved - at 68 - she can still move better than women half her age.
Finally, Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly in talks to star in yet another David O. Russell film - this according to The Hollywood Reporter, who says the director wants Lawrence to star in a film about the inventor of the Miracle Mop. If Lawrence did take the role, it would be her third Russell film - the first two, "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle" earned her 2 Golden Globes, a Best Actress Oscar win, and a Supporting Actress Oscar nod.
