Rejoicing under a sea of confetti...
The Seahawks celebrated their 43-8 trouncing of the Denver Broncos
It is their first NFL crown in the team's history...
But Denver Broncos fans were disappointed to see their home team get thrashed.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) SISCO, DENVER BRONCOS FAN SAYING:
"I feel horrible. We lost the Super Bowl bad!"
(SOUNDBITE) (English) PHIL KUEBER, DENVER BRONCOS FAN SAYING:
"We got smoked. It's not a good feeling. It's gonna feel bad waking up tomorrow. It's gonna be sad. It's upsetting."
Even Peyton Manning, the Bronco's quarterback could not stop the Seahawks domination.
(SOUNDBITE)(English) BRONCOS QUARTERBACK PEYTON MANNING SAYING:
"Well it's disappointing for our entire team, we worked hard to get to this point, overcame a lot of obstacles to be here, put in a lot of hard work, did some really good things just to have this opportunity, but certainly to finish this way it's very disappointing and it's not an easy pill to swallow but eventually we have to."
Instead, the most valuable player of the game award was given to Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) SEATTLE SEAHAWKS LINEBACKER AND SUPER BOWL MVP MALCOLM SMITH SAYING:
"Yeah, I was saying Peyton [Manning] was scanning across the other side of the field and there was great coverage on the backend, great pressure, and Cliff [Avril] got to the quarterback. Peyton's arm just kind of came out high and I was able to run under and catch it. I got a couple of good blocks and was able to get in."
Seattle, the NFL's number one defense, turned two interceptions into touchdowns and also returned a Denver kickoff for a touchdown, building up an insurmoutable lead.
