It's been a mild winter in Japan, but the snow has finally arrived in Sapporo.
Sculptures at the 65th Sapporo Snow Festival are impressive -- to say the least.
This year, there seems to be an Olympic theme, with giant models of various sports on display.
Japan's Self Defence Forces bring in nearly 6,000 truck loads of snow from the countryside for artists each year.
The festival, which attracts tourists from around the world, will run through February 11th.
