ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION
Twitter reported more than 24.9 million tweets were posted during the game and half-time show on Sunday (February 2) setting a new record.
The previous high was 24.1 million during last year's Super Bowl game.
A map released by @twitterdata on Friday (February 7) showed orange flashes when tweets referred to the Denver Broncos, green for the Seattle Seahawks and purple for the half-time show featuring Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The largest Twitter usage came at the beginning of the second half when Seattle wide receiver Percy Harvin ran 87 yards (79 meters) for a touchdown, which generated more than 381,605 tweets per minute.
