NATO-led forces in Afghanistan are picking up the pieces after a deadly car bomb kills two U.S. contractors. Officials said the two contractors were working for the international security force. A local shopkeeper witnessed the attack. He thought three Americans were killed. (SOUNDBITE) (DARI) EYEWITNESS AND SHOPKEEPER ZAHIDULLAH SAYING: "The foreign convoy was passing the area when a suicide bomber in a Corolla blew up his vehicle targeting the convoy. He killed three Americans." At least two Afghan civilians were injured in the attack. Both were taken to a local hospital. (SOUNDBITE) (Pashto) HOSPITAL DOCTOR SULTAN AHMAD SAYING: "As a result of the blast we received two wounded, including a woman and a child. The child's condition was good so we discharged the child from the hospital, but the woman is still receiving treatment from the doctors." Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack comes as the country prepares to hold presidential elections in April and as foreign troops begin to withdraw.
