ROUGH CUT (NO NARRATION)
Fall takes shape for Carolina Herrera's latest collection. The veteran designer played with size, geometric shapes and color in her Fall 2014 collection debuted at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York on Monday (February 10). Herrera presented daytime looks in dark minimal colors but punched things up for her evening looks. Some dresses were reminiscent of 1930's fashion, however Herrera said her influence comes from today's woman with only minor hints of the past. Prints were displayed in vibrant blues, reds and teal on day and evening looks. Sable was used as paneling on wool coats and provided warmth around the neck of gowns. Fashion week in New York will end on February 13.
