ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: Vera Wang is forecasting a mysterious, yet romantic Fall 2014. The veteran designer showcased 40 looks during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York on Tuesday (February 11). The collection, which Wang called "dark romance" with "a hint of mystery" and "easy allure," was accessorized with insects. Jeweled beetles and cicadas gave day and evening looks an edge. Charcoal, black, pewter and dark metallic served as the color story for the garments, with embroidery giving some looks extra shine. As always, Wang played with layers, using tulle over embroidered shorts, evening robes over dresses and blazers accompanying both wool skirts and evening gowns. New York Fashion Week ends on February 13.
