There's a different type of fashion show in Sochi.
Olympic spectators are embracing the colors of the Russian flag and wearing them with pride.
Some women are taking it one step further:
TWO WOMEN WEARING TRADITIONAL RUSSIAN HEAD DECORATIONS SAYING (English)
"We hope for medals! Gold! Now, in this game!"
Olympic Mascot hats are a popular trend, and souvenir shops are cashing in on the craze.
(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) SHOP ASSISTANT LEONID DRAGANOV, SAYING:
"This animal is very rarely seen in our country and that is why it is unique. Here it is smiling, it has a mustache. These hats are very warm and with his fur it reminds us that it is a very friendly animal."
Among the three mascots - the polar bear, the hare and the leopard - the hare seems to be the most popular.
It symbolizes gentleness, openness and willingness to help. But some customers simply think it's the cutest.
(SOUNDBITE) ( Russian) MARIA KOPYLOVA, FAN FROM NOVOSIBIRSK, SAYING:
"(I bought it ) Because most of all I liked this mascot out of all which are on display here, it is the most beautiful, the hare is the best."
The hats also add personality to photo opps - of which there are many outside the Olympic venue.
