Barbie doll makes her debut in Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue

Feb. 13 - In a new promotional campaign, the popular American doll will appear alongside a host of legendary Sports Illustrated swimsuit alumni. Jeanne Yurman reports.

America's iconic doll, Barbie, is stepping out of toy stores and onto the pages of Sports Illustrated's popular swimsuit issue.
The news is stirring controversy amongst critics who say the svelt Barbie perpetuates unrealistic perceptions of a woman's body.
Her parent company Mattel's retort, however, is captured in the ad campaign's title, "#Unapologetic".
The company says it's meant to celebrate famous swimsuit legends - like Barbie - who have broken boundaries, built empires and shaped culture.
