ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: American designer Betsey Johnson turned up the heat for her Fall 2014 collection presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (MBFW) in New York on Wednesday (February 12).
Simply titled "Hot", the 71-year-old fashion veteran said in a press release that "Rihanna meets American Hustle" describers her latest creations.
Models strutted down the runway in mesh dresses, sequined mini-skirts and barely there jumpsuits in colorful neons and metallics such as silver and gold.
Her iconic loud prints were used on faux fur, spandex and metallic velvet, sometimes in the form of an oversized coat or handbag.
Rounding out the collection were spiked pumps, crystalized knee high-boots and ruby-red embellished pumps.
And if the racy collection wasn't hot enough, at the end of the show Johnson put two barely-clad firefighters on the stage to cool down the heat.
Johnson ended the show with her signature cartwheel.
The seven-day fashion fiesta in New York wraps up on Thursday February 13.
