Maybe it's the love that's in the air that's making some of the snow melt in New York City, and Washington, D.C. -- for now. With more snow expected to fall Saturday, florists have been making-do to get the bouquets out to Valentine's Day lovebirds on time. The senior partner at Starbright Floral Design in New York City explains. (SOUNDBITE) (English) NIC FAITOS, SENIOR PARTNER, STARBRIGHT FLORAL DESIGN, SAYING: "Well, it's Valentine's Day. It's really busy. We got hit with a storm as everybody knows. And what we are trying to do is to keep our deliveries going, keep them on time and get every single flower to every single sweetheart all over Manhattan." And it's not only the florists that are keeping up with the spirit of Valentine's Day... This couple decided to take their love to new heights and tied the knot on the Empire State Building. Meanwhile, in Washington, D.C., snow isn't stopping Lee's Flower and Card Shop from keeping up with its deliveries. This flower delivery woman tells us how it's done. (SOUNDBITE) (English) EBONI YOUNG, FLOWER DELIVERY WOMAN, SAYING: "You wear the best-gripping shoes you can, and turn the heat on your toes, so that way you won't freeze." And the deliveries aren't only a sweet treat for the recipients -- the store itself makes around 25 per cent of its year's profit today alone.
