Surfing pig hogs limelight in Hawaii

Feb. 14 - A water-loving piglet makes waves in Hawaii for his surfing skills. Linda So reports.

Meet Kama the piglet... he's making big waves in the water. His owner Kai Holt first discovered the piglet's water skills when he fell in the pool and surprisingly started to swim. NATS: surfs up Now, the little pig wonder is making a big splash at Hawaii's Sandy Beach. He's catching waves on a surfboard and turning heads. SOUNDBITE: KAI HOLT, PIG'S OWNER,SAYING: "He really gets off on it - seems like he has a good time out there. I think it makes him happy." Not only does it make him happy, but everyone else on the beach as well. SOUNDBITE: UNIDENTIFIED BEACHGOER SAYING: "Pretty cute, really cute." SOUNDBITE: UNIDENTIFIED BEACHGOER SAYING: "Definitely the first time I've seen a pig on a board." SOUNDBITE: KAI HOLT, PIG'S OWNER,SAYING: "You know surfing is Hawaii's gift to the world. Its like true happiness, you know. That's what this guy does. Everywhere he goes he just makes people smile and laugh.. He just brings joy to the world." Kama's surfing skills have attracted so much attention. He's even gotten corporate sponsors. Costco supplies free surf boards, and he gets a GoPro Camera from the Bike Factory. SOUNDBITE: KAI HOLT, PIG'S OWNER,SAYING: "As long as he lives, he's not gonna see a dinner plate that's for sure." Kama's owner keeps him on a vegetarian diet so he won't get too big for a surfboard.
