ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Rohingya Muslims at the Tengkali camp in Bangladesh woke up to clear weather on Thursday (September 21) after two days of torrential rain causing low lying areas to flood. Thousands of refugees fought their way through waist-deep waters on Wednesday (September 20) with children and their belongings in search for higher ground. The violence in western Myanmar began on August 25 when Rohingya insurgents attacked around 30 police posts and an army camp, killing around 12 people. The killings led to a military response that has forced more than 421,000 Rohingya Muslims, more than half of them children, into neighbouring Bangladesh.
