A new warning for airlines could mean tighter security for travelers. The Department of Homeland Security has issued an alert that terrorists could try to hide explosives in shoes, liquids, or cosmetics. The notice targets flights heading to the United States from abroad. Officials say the warning is not in response to a specific threat but has been issued through an abundance of caution. SOUNDBITE: SUE KILARSKI, FREQUENT FLYER, SAYING: "If you pay attention to your surroundings and am a frequent traveler like I am, you're kind of used to these things and kind of roll with it a lot." In 2001, Richard Reid tried to detonate a shoe bomb on a flight from Paris to Miami. Since then, travelers have had to take off their shoes at airport security checkpoints.
