It's ultra-thin, but it's a sizeable achievement. China's Guangzhou Daming United Rubber Products has won the Guinness World Record for the thinnest latex condom. It's just 0.036 millimeters thick - that's a svelte 0.0014 inches. But some Hong Kong residents just aren't feeling the love for the slim contraceptive. SOUNDBITE: Mary Ann Chan, Hong Kong resident, saying (English): "Even the world's thinnest condom, we will not use, because we are not satisfied, because the feeling is not good." The company's managing director, Victor Chan, says technology is advancing rapidly and could soon lead to an even thinner condom. SOUNDBITE: Victor Chan, managing director of Guangzhou Daming United Rubber Products Ltd, saying (English): "We don't know what will happen tomorrow. And we definitely welcome other contestants to try to attempt the record, because at the end of the day, we want to see a better and better product on the market and we also will try to push ourselves to keep breaking the record. " Let's hope it's only records that get broken and that the condoms -- no matter how thin -- remain intact.
