Sam Worthington was in a New York City court on Wednesday (February 26) where he was charged with 2 counts of third degree assault, one count of attempted assault, and one count of harassment. The charges stem from an altercation the "Avatar" actor had with a paparazzi photographer earlier in the week. Worthington faces a maximum of one year in jail if convicted. Ben Affleck met with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry at the State Department in Washington, D.C.. The actor was set to testify in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday (February 26), speaking about issues in Africa. Affleck is the founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative and has been a longtime advocate of the continent, helping to raise awareness of a variety of problems. Finally, Hollywood's biggest night is fast approaching - the annual Oscar ceremony. The red carpet was rolled out on Tuesday (February 25) evening at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre in preparation for Sunday's (March 02) ceremony that will feature some of the world's biggest stars.
