The glitz and glamour of Oscars night is just days away.
And celebrity jewelers are gearing up to lend some of their most expensive jewels to Hollywood's A-List.
For veteran jeweler, Neil Lane, it brings a mix of emotions.
SOUNDBITE Neil Lane, Jeweler, saying (English):
"It's an exciting time, it's a nerve wracking time with a lot of jewels going out. There's insurances, there's transportation, there's worrying - girls are changing their dresses. I mean it's really kind of complicated."
And Neil says celebrity's borrow the jewels to create those special red carpet moments.
SOUNDBITE Jeweler, Neil Lane, saying (English):
"People are always saying to me, 'I mean, they are so rich. Why would they want to borrow jewelry, can't they afford it?' It's hard to understand that a red carpet moment is a fashion moment. It's not about whether they own it or not own it. It's creating - it's like a painting."
At this year's Golden Globe Awards Jacob and Co. was a big winner.
The New York store worked closely with co-host Amy Poehler (PO-LAR).
SOUNDBITE Jeweler, saying, Susan Finkelstein (English):
"She wore our jewelry throughout the night because she has several costume changes. And we actually custom created a cuff for her, for her with her stylist."
The men who want to get noticed on the red carpet may well flock to Jason of Beverly Hills.
The owner, Jason Arasheben, expects long time client and nominee Matthew McConaughey to wear his pieces.
SOUNDBITE Jeweler, Jason Arasheben, saying (English):
"The gentleman's collection is really made for the celebrity that's not afraid to stick out in a crowd. And really not afraid to take chances with fashion."
The stars will light up the Oscars on March 2nd.
