Feb. 28 - A six-year-old girl in Minnesota freezes to death as frigid temperatures bear down on the Midwest. Linda So reports.

A tragic discovery outside these apartments in Northern Minnesota. A six-year-old girl is found dead. Police say she froze to death in the bitter cold after being exposed to temperatures that were 25 degrees below zero. So far this winter, at least 21 people have frozen to death in Minnesota. An arctic blast has gripped the Midwest causing multiple crashes in Indiana and Michigan. In Chicago, ice is a big problem. Sidewalks are covered in slick layers. Kenneth Colbert says the icy conditions have kept the mail lady away. SOUNDBITE: KENNETH COLBERT, CHICAGO RESIDENT, SAYING: "She left a note saying until we put salt down, break up the ice, she wasn't going to deliver any mail." The sub-freezing temperatures are wreaking havoc on water lines. Frozen pipes have left many without water for days. SOUNDBITE: MOLLY AICHELE, MINNEAPOLIS RESIDENT, SAYING: "It's a little bit like camping in your house. It's not the end of the world, but it's certainly inconvenient."
